Kayli Merriman is a detail-oriented paralegal with a strong background in criminology, victim advocacy, and legal operations. Her passion for justice began early, volunteering with her local Restorative Justice Teen Court program in high school—a formative experience that sparked her lifelong interest in restorative practices and the criminal justice system.
Originally from Central Illinois, Kayli earned her Bachelor’s degree in Criminology, graduating Cum Laude, from Millikin University. She has now called North Carolina home for the past two years. Kayli brings years of experience in legal advocacy and program development, including leading reentry initiatives, securing grant funding for a pilot crisis response program, and working directly with justice-involved youth and families. Her work has been recognized for strengthening interagency collaboration and streamlining internal processes to better serve clients.
Known for her clear communication and collaborative approach, Kayli is deeply committed to guiding individuals through the legal process with professionalism and care. Outside of work, she enjoys playing in a rec soccer league, traveling to the coast, and exploring Raleigh’s vibrant food scene with friends.
